October Beauty Faves

Its been fall here in the midwest for a while now. And my makeup and beauty products this month are appropriately reflective of the fall season. Now that it's November (gasp), I wanted to share my October favorites.

I'm currently loving Clinique's Stay Matte Foundation. Its a great medium coverage and is oil free! It's fast to apply and stays on my face better than powder. I usually don't need to set it unless I think I'll be wearing makup longer than usual. Benefit's Majorette Blush is something I got talked into at Ulta, but I actually think it's great; it blends so well with bronzer and foundation, and smells yummy. It's a cream-to-powder so I can apply it with my fingers or a brush and it is great for making me look awake if I'm in a time crunch. Another Benefit product I love is Gimme Brow. This little guy is great to quickly amp up brows. At the end of September I got a free sample of Urban Decay's Perversion mascara and ended up buying a full tube later. I'm obsessed with this stuff because it makes my lashes look so full. I think it goes so well more dramatic eye looks.

Two nail colors worth trying are OPI's 'Skating on Thin Iceland' and Essie's 'Fall in Line.' SoTI is a deep purple with red undertones. Perfect for fall. And FiL is a muted, dusty green. Finally I have two awesome lipsticks I'm always reaching for. Gerard Cosmetics' 1995 is a matte taupy brown, which sounds odd, but looks great on. MAC's Rebel is to die for. It's a deep berry purple that glams up any look. MAC is winning with this color.
